[Neuro-IT] Call for participation, workshop FP7

Dear all,

we are planning to hold a Neuro-IT.net/EC information workshop on
Bio-ICT research topics in FP7 in Brussel (room in Tour Madou).

The workshop is planned to be held on the 16th of January 07 beginning
9:00 to 16:00 (registration starts at 8:30).

If you want to participating as a speaker to one of the following  
topics,
please feel free to contact us.
Due to the tight schedule each talk should not be longer than 20min.

The preliminary agenda entails following points and speaker suggestions:

Introduction to the day

Bio-IT initiatives in FP7:
- ICT FET initiatives             Julian Ellis (CEC)
- Health theme                    Speaker from (CEC)
- Discussion

Talks by various researchers on current state of the art in the  
topics called
- neuronal coding and computing   to be announced
- biomimetic artefacts,
     VLSI neuromimetic artefacts   Giacomo Indiveri (ETHZ)
- bidirectional interfaces        Silvestro Micera (UAB)
- biohybrid artefacts             Paolo Dario/Maria Chiara Carrozza  
(SSSUP)

Cooperation issues
- links with INCF                 to be announced
- links with ONCE-CS, NiSIS etc.  to be announced
- EU-US                           Rodney Douglas (ETHZ)
- EU-China                        Jainwei Zhang (Univ Hamburg) (tbd)
